try to re-cap to my best understanding
1) investors demand no collaterals, but recognize the values of the company and thus taking in, as option, the stock shares of the entity agains the risk over the invested capital in the company?
2) but the copany must be a good performance with positive cash flow and EBIT on the book...stable, but operate at smaller economy scale, intend or plan to move up through
capital injections and the raised fund could thus be directed towards strategic acquisitions of enties either for market share or for certain technology integration or both, at least so perceive the PR image in the market...
3) therefore if the above two transitions went smoothly, it prepares for a good IPO at ed market timing...
what kind of financial bodies typically operate such mezzanine finance?
financial institutions?
priavate funds?
both?
is this a common instrument now to raise funds?
