Factor I: Accountability
• Manage multiple Natural Gas Systems Project to meet customer’s specifications , project schedules, financial goals and quality standards.
• Driving project schedule and cost saving to meet business needs
• Serve as a responsive focal point of contact for customer, supplier and internal staff for assigned projects.
• Ensure the project scope includes all work required to complete the project successfully.
• Organize the purchase of equipment, material and services in a timely and cost-effective manner based on the contractual schedule and project specifications.
• Responsible for identifying, analyzing and responding to risks that are likely to affect the projects.
• Ensure timely and appropriate generation, collection, dissemination, storage and ultimate disposition of project information.
• Ensure good project management standards and practices are implemented at all times, including material procurement, project implementation phase, up to the successful commissioning of the project at customer site.
• Responsible for estimating and securing adequate and competence resources for each project.
• Managing subcontractor schedules, quality-of-work and releasing of payment based on actual completion of subcontractor’s scope of work.
• Identifying and resolving changes across the entire project and negotiation of change order with customers/suppliers.
• Ensure implementation of timely and accurate cost tracking mechanism of project costs.
• Responsible for project status, performance and forecasting reporting to the management/customer.
• Ensure timely completion and close-out of project based on contractual requirement, including resolution of any open items.
• Ensure accurate and competitive cost estimation for major systems project pursuit.
• Ensuring focus on understanding customer needs and solving of customer problems to improve customer satisfaction.
• Provide sales support on both engineering and commercial issues for systems projects.
• Continuous enhancement of existing project management practices/processes to improve productivity and profitability.
Factor II: Knowledge and Skills (Describe skills this job will use these skills)
• Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Chemical, Mechanical, Control or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in process control industry and project management, with at least 3 years in managing of concurrent system projects.
• English capability
• Interpersonal skill
• Knowledge of commercial and financial issues.
• Result oriented.
• Strategic thinking
• Proven skills in the use of project tools (such as MS Project) and techniques.
• Understanding of project specifications and applicable engineering standards.
• Managing multiple projects of complex scope with demanding schedule requirement
• Frequent interaction with overseas counterpart (USA, Europe, Singapore)
• Working with people from different functions, at different locations, with different background
• Pre-empt problem areas and implementing solutions.
• Project schedule is critical
• Constantly looking at “big picture” to make sensible business recommendations
• Effective project reporting and ease of information retrieval.
Factor III: Supervision
• Require to work independently in Project Execution & Management.
Factor IV: Relationships
• Reports to GM.
• Frequent interaction with customers, subsidiaries, representatives and other world area sales/operations management.
• Regular contact, negotiation and business relationship with contractors and sub-vendors.
