Position : Senior Product Marketing Specialist
Base Location:Xiamen
General Summary :
Objective is to support sales activity by the information
and preparation of sales activity under instruction of
Product manager.
Assist Product Marketing Manager for company|EMC server
product and its related peripherals management, product
launches execution and·Responsible for product schedule in company JP/CCC and drive for PrP implementation.
Support product marketing manager to lead programs where
analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth
evaluation of various factors. Exercises considerable
judgement within broadly defined practices and policies in
selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for
obtaining results. Erroneous decisions will result in
critical delays in schedules, reduced scope, lower quality
or higher costs and may jeopardize overall business
activities.
Responsible for the successful marketing and product
management of the company|EMC product line and meeting
corporate with JP PMM groups.. Includes administrate and
adhere to the Phase Review Process (PrP) for product program in CCC.
Receives assignments in the form of objectives and
establishes goals to meet those objectives. Level of review depends on the nature of assignment. Manage through to core team members to achieve goals in accordance with established policies and schedules.
Duties:
·Responsible for technology trends and product updates to
the field and internal sales.
·Be a member of cross-functional extended core team and
ensure timeliness launch of new products.
·Create Sales Configuration Management request to prepare
and maintenance orderable situation for Online Store and
JDOMS system.
·Take question and request from sales group under
instruction of product manager to assist sales activity.
·Provide recommendation on systems and peripherals and
escalate product-related issues to product marketing manager.
·Collect feedback from sales team and recommend market requirements to Product Marketing Manager.
·Provide back up for Marketing Manager and learn skills for progression/ development.
·Keep Internet product pages and ESG CoC intranet updates, ensure product collateral are up to date and accurate.
·Assist Product marketing manager in developing monthly Ops review presentation materials.
·Participate and contribute in the weekly meeting with PG, Austin.
·Coordinate prioritization issues and drive closure with
extended core team.
·Drive new product introduction from conception through
testing to successful launch by working closely with
development, procurement, plans and controls, in order to
provide products that meet company's quality and business
requirements.
·Provide regular program status, review Business Contract
goal vs. actual to team, access program post mortem and
drive for program improvement
·Adhere to company’s code of conduct and employment letter stipulations
·Ensure full compliance and adherence to company policies, safety standards, and general operation practices; recommend changes to unit or sub-unit policies
·Foster a “one-team” atmosphere between all product group team members and other Asia Pacific teams.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
·Ability to use Japanese fluently in writing, reading,
speaking and listing to communicate member of core team in
Japan and also for Japan sales organization.
·Ability to use English fluently in writing, reading,
speaking and listing to communicate with APeJ wide cross
functional group and Product group in US.
·Understand of JDOMS system including such as operation and create system request.
·Ability to persuade, influence and negotiate cross-
functionally
·Good Marketing, Brand, Project, and general Management,
teamwork and leadership skills
·Strong verbal and written communication skills in
Japanese.
·Excellent organizational, interpersonal and presentation
skills.
·Good at tactical execution
·Strong conflict resolution and flexibility
·Working knowledge of the computer market and marketing
strategies.
·Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with significant
marketing management experience in personal computer market place or related field.
·Ability to communicate in Mandarin is added advantage
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
·Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 3- 5 years significant experience in above related field.
·Strong conceptual and creative skills coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills in Japanese and English. Chinese competency is also desirable.
·Excellent organizational, interpersonal and presentation
skills.
·Must be a leader in tactical execution and have a good eye for detail.
INTERACTIONS:
·Product Marketing team, Pricing team, Sales segments, Asia Pacific/Japan Marketing leaders, Sales teams and WorldWide marketing team Customer Care, Customer Service, Technical Support, Product Quality Engineering groups.
