Job Description: PDM Consultant
Job title:
PDM Application Consultant.
Reports to:
Head of PLM
Team and direct reports: PDM domain leader, in PLM Department of Systems Integration Division
Location and travel request:
T-Systems offices at Beijing, or Shanghai. Frequent traveling including oversea business trip and onsite services are required.
Starting Date: As earlier as possible.
Justification of the position:
The consultant is a service delivery team member in SI-PLM.
The consultant provides presales support through documentation, presentation, demonstration, teaming with SSM members (Sales, Services Management Division) and analyzing the customer needs. The consultant provides presales technical support related to PLM-PDM consulting services, including developing materials and technical documentations, performing demonstrations of PLM-PDM solutions.
The consultant is responsible for services delivery around PDM training, technical support, operation support, PLM-PDM consulting, etc. Manage and execute benchmarks, and liaise with customers and internal resources in documenting and providing adequate answers to technical inquiries. Capitalize on the key differentiators of PDM solutions, develop best practices, and provide best-in-class consulting services in PLM-PDM implementation.
• Presales support by teaming with SSM, presentation, demonstration, solution descriptions, services project scope validation, etc.
• Responsible for PDM support and service delivery, and continuous operations of customers’ engineering systems.
• PDM training delivery. PDM onsite coaching
• PLM-PDM implementation process consulting
• Installation, monitoring and troubleshooting of PDM solution.
• Support PDM installation and operations of customers
• PDM application support as a part of User Helpdesk (Level 2 or Level 1 onsite). Provide guidance to team members on problem solving and customers handling. Monitor all open cases and actively communicate with team members on unresolved problems and other IT support groups to ensure that cases are resolved according to priorities stated in the Service Level Agreement.

Education,
qualification, experiences required:
• Engineering degree / diploma from university.
• Excellent language skills of Chinese and English. Advanced technical language skills of Japanese or German are highly appreciated.
• Working experiences longer than 4 years
• General understanding about IT architecture, TCP/IP networking, DNS, proxy server, firewall, DHCP, web servers, internet related technologies, Operating Systems platforms, Windows, UNIIX (AIX, HPUX, Solaris), etc. Knowledge of ITIL processes is appreciated.

3 years longer relevant experience in manufacturing industries. Knowledge and Experiences about product development engineering, production engineering and manufacturing process, especially for aerospace or automobile industry; Good interpersonal communication skills ; Customer needs oriented and business process oriented ; Capacity to skill up quickly by learning new technologies in a new environment.
[Computing skills ]
Good skill on Windows and MS-Office OA tools including Project is a must. Knowledge of Windows Server Management is appreciated. Programming skills with VB script or C++ are highly appreciated. Skills on internet technology (xml, HTML, CGI) etc. are big plus. Unix administration skills (AIX or HP-UX) are highly appreciated, including management of Unix users & file systems, system backup and restoring, good skills to use the common Unix tools, e.g. but not limited to, VI for text editing, TAR for data achieving, and simple shell programming, etc. Experience on Application Server management and system monitoring is a plus.
[PDM skills]
Need good experiences on the popular systems of VPDM (Virtual Product Development Management), or PDM (Product Data Management), and Collaborative Engineering platforms are essential. Good experience and skill on Team Center Enterprise & Engineering, or on MatrixOne, or on Windchill, or on ENOVIA is a must. Understanding on BOM systems, ERP system or experiences from manufacturing industry process re-engineering project are highly appreciated. Good understanding about SOA (Services Oriented Architecture) is a plus too.
[RDBMS skills]
Administration skills on Relational DBMS like ORACLE or DB2UDB, including RDBMS installation, database creation and startup or stop, database backup and recovery, listener configuration, etc. Skills on database server & client configuration, database export & import, multiple sites replication, performance monitoring are highly appreciated.
[3D CAD / CAM / CAE knowledge]
General understanding about 3D CAD / CAM / CAE usage is a plus.
