Job Description
The Legal and Commercial business practice provides and manages all legal advice and support to Accenture. Legal and Commercial aims to give objective, focused, practical advice and solutions based on an understanding of the law and Accenture’s business, which is essential in a competitive marketplace. The Legal and Commercial teams work closely with each engagement to find ways to maximize revenue and manage risk and to ensure that Accenture complies with its contractual obligations.
The Field Operations and Contract Management teams work closely with Accenture’s operating and capability groups to obtain good commercial arrangements, review and counsel new offerings, support Accenture’s alliances and Business Process Outsourcing businesses, develop package knowledge and ensure contract agreements are upheld.
A Transactional Lawyer Specialist will review, draft, and negotiate several types of contractual agreements, including: non-disclosure agreements, services agreements, procurement agreements and requests for proposals. Assist senior level attorneys in reviewing complex transactions within a corporate environment. Perform legal research on a myriad of topics.
Key responsibilities may include:
• Strategize with company executives prior to client negotiations
• Structure client transactions to be most advantageous from a legal and business perspective
• Counsel, advise, and consult company professionals based on accurate interpretation of contract documents and the facts of a business opportunity
• Stay abreast of legal developments affecting the company, its clients, and industries and synthesizes the information to incorporate it into company’s transactional practices
• Participate in developing internal guidelines, toolkits, and packaged knowledge capital on various legal and business issues
• Educate company professionals in regard to legal and risk management issues
• Represent company’s interests and interface directly with client counsel and negotiating teams
• 4 years of experience in transactional work
• fluent in English
• sound knowledge of Chinese Law and a desirable LLM in a US or UK university
• graduated from a top Chinese Law school
• Ability to meet travel requirements, when applicable
• Committed with Accenture's and L&C success
