"Steve Jobs is a genius" -- Andy Grove (Intel's retired CEO who has a PHD) said his idol is Steve Jobs because he single handedly started the personal computer business (Apple computer was the pre-history of PC business).

Steve Jobs wasn't college educated, certainly has no master or PHD degrees.

Many of us Chinese people probably say: Steve Jobs is not technical, it is the other Steve W. who did the technical job: design, coding, etc.. Steve W. is actually the more talented one. Is it right?

After been in China for two weeks, never have I been so strongly realize that China lacks of "marketing & management" talents: People who can create a brand which can compete outside China -- a chain of actions to explore and occupy markets; people who can push talented people, has a correct vision, found sizeable corporation which can compete in this flat globe, fortify enterprise culture.

It seems I am spitting out big words here, that is not what I meant, I meant connecting the big with the small. The fact is anyone who have real marketing & management credentials will probably have a bright future. Too bad I have never taken one marketing or managment class before.

"Marketing & Management", it is something to think about when you are hungry.
