Your article is very touching. I have experienced the same thing as you decribed in your article. I came from a small town in Shanxi. The situation in my hometown is very similar to yours.
可是我的亲戚们和当地人的生活态度还是很乐观积极的。也许我没有太多接触下岗生活很困难的人。对于你文中生命篇和教育篇中的描述，我感同深受。
几年前我回国探亲时与我母校中学的学生们有过一些类似你文中提到的交流。我感到这些年轻人思想很活跃，很有见地。能给他们开阔的视野和知识，会有很大的帮助。我和我家人一直在上面提到的青树基金会里帮忙，帮助在中国的农村或者乡镇建立公益图书馆. If you are interested, you can visit their website to know more.
