Key Responsibilities:
The job responsibilities for the Development Business Analyst include, but are not limited to:
• Acts as a liaison between various local technology teams, support teams, and business units to analyze, document, review, and secure agreement on business requirements for specific RDF-D data sources.
• Development and execution of data integrity test plans, specifically focused on data quality and data functionality.
• Assists with authoring of Product Functional Specifications (PFS) documents which detail requirements for data feed processing, product support tools, and testing tools.
• Assist with implementation of an automation framework to optimize testing. Work with scripter / developer to ensure requirements of test case steps are properly implemented.
• Prepare status updates for projects and consolidation of periodical reports
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with market data sources ensuring that product related changes are communicated and understood within the organization. Specific focus is placed around supplier notification of required changes to ensure the RDF-D product is fit to purpose "Day 1."
Qualifications
• The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years experience within a financial market data related environment
• The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years experience working with environments that communicate system to system, with limited end-user displays available.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong data processing background and will be comfortable with analysis of detailed data dumps.
• Bachelors Degree in any discipline, although Computer Science, Mathematics, or MIS is preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Previous Technical Writing experience is preferred.
• Fair knowledge and understanding of technology concepts, including the ability to acclimate quickly to unfamiliar environments. Emphasis on infrastructure applications and networking a plus. Experience with command language operating systems (i.e. DOS or UNIX) is preferred.
