我打电话到移民局讯问（电话号码 800-375-5283），令人吃惊的是只需要等3-5分钟而且工作人员的态度非常好。这里是得到的答案：
1. There is no six month continuous stay requirement for Permnant Resident, but one must return to the US, at least once, over any one year period.
2. If a Green Card Holder stays abroad continuously for more than one year, he must apply for re-entry. The re-entry application can be filed at a US embassy abroad. But at the time of approval, the applicant must be in the US.
3. If a Green Card Holder stays abroad continuously for more than two years, he may lose his permanent residency.
4. There IS a 6 month home staying issue if one is to apply for naturalization. If a green card holder stays outside the US for more than six months continuously, the qualification time (5 years) for applying citizenship restarts. (Did not ask but guess if you're already qualified, there shouldn't be such a issue)
5. If for any reason you do have to violate the above guidelines, make sure you get all documentation ready to support your choice.
