maybe I am naive, or maybe some information was distorted by the reporter.... I think this guy is great:
1.
Even if the car, house w/ large yard etc is normal in US, I still appreciate his commitment to go back China by giving up his nice working/living environment in US
2.
Post Doc maybe means difficulty to find a job. But I assuming you know the difficulty to get PhD. And they deserved some respect, especially this PhD is earned in America, not manufactured in China in mass scale.
BTW, I don't have PhD degree, but bunch of my friends spend lots of time to get that degree while others (including me) distracted by money making
3.
culture ..... whatever.... I think he mean more than just talk show
