The issues you mentioned here would be even worse in Canada. Actually, these are the challenges facing white class (especially IT) in developled countries. Globalization means they are overpaid here while Chinese engineers are underpaid over there. It is a sad story unforuntately, that is the way it is.
As long as anyone position themselves as an employee, staying here would still be a wise choice. The return on human capital is capped in China due to its huge now educated population.
Go back if you have some good opporunities to exploit especially finding some ways to take advantage of low incomes in China. Your job is to converage the different incomes currently existing on both sides.
