now seriously, i believe everything should be put on table from day one: not the money or bank account, but how the things are going to be operated around the house between the two sharing the same roof

if both agrees to keep a private space between one another, so be it

culutral backgrounds are typically different between the two parties of one contract (what a marriage license is in essence) no marriage can hold and last without communications.

when it comes to what is a good investment and what is a worthy expenditure, everyone has his/her own option. so yeah, whatever works
as long as both are following the same protocol

one thing for sure: one should never read the other's mail
