Let's assume the observation is statistcal fact not anecdotal, does it prove that American men are more, um, civilized than Chinese men? The author certainly hope so. What's more satisfying, after being rejected by a more "primative" race, one gets embraced by a "more civilized" race?
Let's ask a couple of questions:
(1) Do these American men have opportunities to wed better looking women? Younger ones?
(2) Do they necessarily think these Chinese women as "uglier" than other women they can have?
(3) American men = Sucessful men?
The answers to these questions are NO's.
Conclusion: men are men. Don't fool yourself by thinking that you got saved by a higher race.
