To cope with our expansion in Asia Pacific, we are currently looking for an experienced Engineer with a good track record in JMP or statistical tools to be based in our office in China / Hong Kong.
Key Responsibilities Include:
-Providing technical advisory for software pre-sale and post-sale activities utilizing extensive knowledge of industry or industry segment processes and challenges.
-Utilizing current strategic selling techniques with account executives to strategize on prospects and develop strategic sales objectives.
-Identifying appropriate applications, tools, and solutions for targeted accounts.
-Preparing prototype solutions and presentations based on opportunity analysis.
-Assisting in preparing sessions and training materials
To qualify, you need to have:
-Masters degree, preferably in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or other quantitative field related to area of assignment.
-At least 10 years of experience in consulting, technical support, information systems, or a related area of expertise including three years of programming in a high-level language or developing SAS or JMP applications with at least two interactive operating systems supported by JMP (Windows, Macintosh or Linux).
-Public speaking experience required.
-Detailed knowledge of industry or market segments or in-depth knowledge of a specific area of industry expertise (six sigma, manufacturing QA, pharmaceutical industry, chemical industry, chip fabrication, statistics and higher education); familiarity with Windows, Macintosh or Linux; experience with business process improvement using statistical analysis and measurement; expertise in integrating statistical methods and software into quality improvement, defect reduction, cycle time reduction, or corporate Six Sigma consulting activities.
-Experienced to advanced knowledge of statistical analysis software - JMP System tools preferred.
-Ability to learn JMP Scripting Language (JSL) and statistics required.
-Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; demonstrated project leadership skills; programming proficiency as required for prototype development and product demonstrations.
-Ability to relate technical concepts to SAS and JMP applications and user needs.
-Ability to work and learn independently and as part of a team.
-Proficiency in written and spoken Chinese and English languages
