I absolutely respect Nobel Prize Winer however the point is that once they published their reserches (at least they won't receive Nobel Prize) usually until many decades after their reserches have been tested to be useful through many trials and errors, everybody knows.
And that's the reason from my experience, they are not good investors. You may find a trader who know much much better than Black Schole in option pricing including the other factors that not in the BS model, but he cannot publish anything because he does not have time to do so. I can say there are thousands people know better than Nobel Prize Winner in the options, but they are not that flamboyant like the defunct Long Term Capital Management, who had two Nobel Prize Winners on board of directors but bankrupted.
