Job Description
The Manager of Engineering is responsible for leading a team of software engineers to develop software products based on WLCP platform, for the telecommunications industry and 3G network operators.
This manager will be chartered to create or tailor the software process for the development effort; to monitor and control the project status; to create a teamwork environment and to enforce software engineering disciplines throughout the product's software life cycle; to document best engineering practices for carrier grade-application development.
You'll be working with Java, J2EE, web services, Platform, Parlay/Parlay X and/or IMS, SIP technologies, and various third party software applications.
This manager will lead and manage his/her team to succeed with numerous initiatives designed to improve the usability and quality of product suite. The candidate should have a proven track record in being able to work independently to organize large-scale development projects.
Qualifications/Necessary Skills：
The manager of engineering should be entrepreneurial and enthusiastic about developing and shipping great software. The candidate should have:
Proven success as the development manager or lead developer of a piece of enterprise software, and an understanding of the software process;
At least 3 years' engineering management experience, and experience with a software product across the lifecycle;
Extensive background knowledge of the telecommunications industry, in terms of industry standards and network technologies, in either the NEP sector or the carrier sector;
Excellent listening and collaboration skills, and the ability to coordinate teams across organizational boundaries;
Experience collaborating with talented engineers and an understanding of technologies such as application servers, Web services, and the Windows and Unix platforms;
An attention to detail and an ability to absorb and assimilate information rapidly;
Excellent written, presentation, and sales skills; An ability to communicate effectively with
