Manager, Japanese Operations 日语客户服务经理
GENERAL SUMMARY
The person holding this position will be accountable for all day to day operations and escalations relating to operations in the areas of Account Management and Customer Service in support of the PayPal Japan website. The Manager of Japanese Operations will be required to work closely with the managers of the aforementioned areas.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
1. Develop and lead a team of Japanese speaking agents in the areas of Customer Support and Account management to meet the needs of clients utilizing the PayPal Japan platform.
2. Ensure maximum customer satisfaction by ensuring staff is responsive to customer inquiries.
3. Collaborate with Senior Management on ideas for improvement and implementing strategic plans and adjusting processes.
4. Ensures adherence to appropriate use of timekeeping tools and monitor reports as necessary.
5. Establish relationships with other managers throughout the organization to ensure excellent information flow and feedback on impacts of process, policy and product changes.
6. Prepare monthly and quarterly business summaries on assigned accounts and review the trends with the SMB Merchant Segment manager.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s Degree or above
2. Excellent command of Japanese and English language speaking, writing, and communication skills.
3. 5+ years experience in one or more of the following areas: Customer Service/Operations/Financial Services, Banking
4. 1+ year proven experience in managing 30 or more employees. Experience in managing a team supporting Japanese customers will be a plus.
5. Knowledge of financial operations, fraud, recovery or collections processes
6. Strong working knowledge of PC based internet and software applications and ability to learn and adapt to new software technologies.
7. Ability to communicate effectively via telephone by utilizing active listening and clearly speaking in both Japanese and English.
8. Ability to identify departmental strategic shifts to meet demands as staff growth, operational necessity and customer contact volume mandates.
9. Ability to define and utilize quantitative and qualitative management information reports and to develop same based on data trends.
10. Ability to handle multiple projects under pressure
11. Must be a team player willing to support and accept the total quality processes and systems
12. Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with co-workers and peers.
